He is a graduate of Morgantown High School, West Virginia Corrections Academy, and the West Virginia State Police Academy. He spent 27 years working for the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department starting out as a correctional officer. Upon becoming a deputy, Todd worked many shifts, primarily midnight shifts as he enjoyed the type of work it brought on. Eventually, Todd moved into the Mon Valley/Mon Metro Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force where he spent 16 years before retiring as a lieutenant. After retirement, Todd spent 2 years at Westover Police Department as Deputy Chief and assigned to Westwood Middle School, as Resource Officer. In his free time, Todd has enjoyed coaching and mentoring many young kids in baseball and basketball throughout the community. ## As Sheriff I will... As a lifelong member of Monongalia County, I care about the safety and security of the citizens. I have served for over 16 years as a member of the Task Force focused on taking down the drug problem and trafficking in our community. Through volunteering to support my children's activities and my professional career, I know what is needed in Mon County to protect both our Senior Citizens and younger kids. I will work to ensure that our Senior citizens are safe and secure in their homes and fight scams that prey on older Americans. Integrity. Experience. ## Get to Know the Family Jennifer, Todd’s wife of 27 years, has been teaching in Monongalia County schools for 24 years. She has spent most of those years at Brookhaven Elementary School. They have 2 sons, Austin and Aaron, and a grandson, Jayden. Austin is an Account Executive for a local insurance agency. He is married to SSgt Brooke Forbes, USAF. Brooke is completing her degree in Political Science at WVU.
